Good press ?
It's rare that evangelicals get good press in France... or anywhere else in the world for that matter. This is a refreshing exception.
In the history of Christianity, it is never very clear if good press is in fact a good thing for the church. What do you think?

Looks cool... couldn't understand much, though! What were they saying about us evangelical whack jobs?? :)

I do not think one can emphatically reply yes or no. Rather I believe the question should be answered both yes and no.
When the world sees the church as it should be then one of two things can happen. Either the report will allay people’s misgivings and create a more hospitable attitude towards Christians and the message of Christ or it will cause the enemies of Christ to harden their resolve against God and His children.
Good press can result in the same combo reaction for the body of Christ. Believers are encouraged and overjoyed to find such a news pearl in the midst of all the mud. It gives hope. Yet hope and joy without the correct focus can breed apathy and then ultimately ineffectiveness for the believer(s). There are blessings in disguise and then there are curses disguised as blessings... if believers are not careful to keep a sober spirit (I Peter 5:8).
Regardless of the world’s view one mustn’t fall prey to the lie that good news should be equated with blessing or good for Christ did say that He was persecuted and hated by the world and we his servants should not expect to be above the Master.
